Sharing on the Streets

This past Wednesday night teams from YWAM Belo Horizonte and local churches went to the streets to evangelize and to raise awareness about human trafficking.  The streets were full of people as it was game night for a local soccer team.

With the World Cup games right aroung the corner, YWAM Belo Horizonte is working hard to raise awareness about the crime of human trafficking occuring here in Brazil.   YWAM Belo Horizonte has plans to send more teams to the streets during the actual World Cup Games scheduled to take place here. This past Wednesday was the first of many opportunities to share on the streets!

First, everyone met at the Refuge House to organize the outreach time and pray for the evening.

Then everyone went to the streets to present dramas, raise awareness about human trafficking, give out free water, and simply share the love of Jesus.

The DTS students did an absolutely amazing job presenting various dramas to raise awareness about human trafficking and to encourage people to report any form of child abuse or child prostitution.  They presented in pedestrian crossings at several different stoplights.

The banner above reads, "Be a voice for life. Report child sexual abuse."

Some fun photos of a drum circle taken just in front of the soccer stadium.

Please be praying for the teams that will be sharing on the streets during the upcoming World Cup Games here in Belo Horizonte, Brazil.

Many people from many nations will be coming together for the World Cup Games, and unfortuately there is much human trafficking surrounding this major world sporting event.  Efforts to raise awareness about human trafficking and to inform people in "how to" report this crime is one step in the direction of bringing this terrible form of modern day slavery to an end.

Join together with us in prayer!
