Baby # 4, Another Girl!

Last month we went to have an ultrasound to see how our baby #4 is growing and developing.  We left Josiah with Felipe's mom and sister, and took our girls along for the experience.

They were wide-eyed and amazed watching the screen bearing images of our super active and growing baby.  In the middle of the ultrasound the doctor asked us if we wanted to know the gender of the baby, and then came the news,
 "It's a girl!"

My two girls were extremely happy, especially Jessie because she really hoped (and prayed) for a baby sister.  It was priceless to see the wonder in my daughters' eyes and their reaction to the news! I am so glad we included them in the experience.  Hopefully it is something they will never forget.
We are so happy to welcome another little lady into our family!  Her due date is around July 11th.
I just entered into my 3rd trimester.  This pregnancy is FLYING by!  Much faster than my previous pregancies, as life keeps us busy.

Ever since we learned the news we have been talking about baby girl names (we are almost certain we have chosen the name), and we are planning more and more for our baby girl. What I mostly need is baby girl clothes because I was definitely more prepared to have a boy, clothes-wise. God is already providing for and showing love to our girl though, as I recently received a bag of beautiful baby girl clothing. He is so GOOD and FAITHFUL to provide for all our needs.

For me (Laura), I have reflected much recently on the fact we are having another precious girl.  I am the third and youngest girl in a family of three girls myself, so I will (in some ways) be able to relate with our soon coming baby girl.
Me (the baby) together with my two sisters and mom.
Over the past two years I have been studying Biblical womanhood (together with precious sisters in Christ) using the True Woman material from Revive Our Hearts (www.reviveourhearts.com), and these studies have deeply impacted my life!  I highly recommend these transformational Bible studies.

I am now going to be a mama to three girls (and a boy), but the three girls part is especially humbling to me.  I feel the sobering and joyful weight, honor, and responsibility of showing my girls what true Biblical womanhood is. Ultimately, what it means to be a woman who loves and follows the Lord and lives the Word of God.

I am their first example of what a woman, wife, and mother is.  My life alone will teach volumes concerning my girls' own personal womanhood, and I deeply desire to be a blessing and teach them well.

I earnestly pray for grace in my weakness, wisdom in my lack, and for God to continually teach me in this area of living out Biblical womanhood.
I need Him every step of the way, every single day.

I have so much to learn, and so many areas to grow in, but I gratefully embrace this calling to be "mommy" to each one of my kiddos,
ALL for the glory of GOD!
